Motion Tweens and Shape Tweens

Similarities
  1. They are both forms of Tweens. 
  2. They both make objects move.
  3. Both are used in animation.
  4. Both change color.
  5. Both can be copied and applied to something else.
  6. Both fill in frames for you when you determine a start and end position.
  7. Both change size.
  8. Both change color.
  9. Both are used in Flash.
  10. Both are shown in the timeline.
Differences
  1. In motion tweens, you change how an object looks. In shape tweens, you make an object become something else.
  2. In shape tweens you can use guides.
  3. They have different names.
  4. One appears as a blue bar in the timeline, and one appears as a green bar.
  5. When you use a shape tween, the object doesn't need to be a symbol.
