After learning more about copyrights I found out that, although Sarah didn't register her copyright, the copyright still belongs to her. I also learned that copyrights don't expire until 70 years after the creator or holder of the copyright is dead, so Ryan was wrong about Sarah's copyright expiring. Sarah should contact a lawyer so she can be advised about what to do because she might have to prove that she was the original creator of the song lyrics and she will have to file a law suit so that she can get credit for the song and get paid what she deserves.
